Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP)

Enable/Disable the TOTP

Enabling 2FA for your Datasaur account is a simple process. We highly recommend enabling this feature to strengthen the security of your account and ensure that only authorized individuals can access your data. Currently, we only support the 2FA with TOTP approach.

1. Click the top right corner of your page (your account).

2. Select the Account Settings.

3. Click the side option Two-factor auth.

4. Click the Enable two-factor authentication.

5. Scan the QR code using your preferred authenticator app. You could also directly copy the value.

6. After you successfully add it to your authenticator app, put the code and click Enable two-factor authentication and finish the form.

7. Don't forget to save the recovery codes.

Recovery Codes

As mentioned above, you will be provided with recovery codes during the setup process. It is crucial to keep this recovery codes in a safe place, as it serves as a backup in case you lose access to your authenticator app. The recovery code can be used to regain access to your account in case you lost your device or unable to access it. Treat this code with the same level of security as your login credentials.

Please note that each recovery code could only be used once. After you use it, you will notice that the particular code will be missing when you view the list of recovery codes. But do not worry as you can regenerate the recovery codes again by clicking the View my recovery codes and there will be Regenerate codes option on the bottom left of the pop up.
